Kanberra is a beautiful Hotel in Lira, Uganda, with large and well-designed rooms and high quality furnishing. The Hotel also has a restaurant, lounge, garden bar, conference room and secured parking. It is located in a quiet, garden style environment, but only a 10 minute walk to the town center. We are offering our rooms at lower rates than compared hotels in Lira. Kanberra has 14 rooms including: 10 Double rooms with 5x6 bed @ only 55,000 Ugx. 2 Twin rooms with 3x6 bed and 5x6 bed @ only 65,000 ugx. 2 Large Executive rooms with 6x6 double bed @ only 75,000 ugx. Breakfast is included in the price All our rooms are self-contained (with their own hot showers, toilet and hand basin). They all have Tvs and new comfortable beds. The rooms are very well ventilated and all the beds and windows have mosquito netting.

Conference Facilities

Kanberra has a medium sized, air conditioned, conference room which can comfortably seat 22 people around an executive conference table in a workshop setting and 60 in a classroom setting. The normal charge for the conference room is 100,000ugx for the day, not including the meal and refreshments

Restaurant, Lounge and Bar

The restaurant is gaining a reputation for delicious, affordable meals. Our specialties include, fish stew and rice, fried pork and chips, and grilled chicken and salad. We can provide vegetarian meals upon request. The lounge has DSTV so you can watch your favorite shows and games in comfort. The garden bar is very attractive and you will always find a private corner to relax with your partner or friends.

We are located on the Eastern side of the town center behind VH School at Plot 51 Oyam Road. See Google Map below The main street in Lira is commonly known as Obote Avenue, although it is labeled Soroti Road on Google Maps. If you are driving north down Obote Avenue, turn off to the right at Ireda Road and then turn left into Oyam Road after 500 meters. You will pass VH Primary School on your left as you proceed along Ireda Road. If you are driving south up Obote Avenue, turn left at Oyam Road and continue for about 600 meters until you reach the hotel. You will pass Kitgum Stage as you proceed along Oyam Road
